Year 1976

Southern Rubber Industry Company was established under Decision No. 427-HC/QĐ dated April 19, 1976 by the Government of Vietnam.

Year 1977

The company’s headquarters was officially located at 180 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City.

Year 1978

The company took over five factories: Hoc Mon, Dai Thang, Binh Loi, Binh Trieu, and Dong Nai; acquired Dong Tam facility and later managed Dien Bien Factory in 1979.

Year 1985

Established the Import-Export Center under the international trading name RUBCHIMEX. Signed a processing contract with Taurus (Hungary), establishing the Viet–Hung Workshop at Hoc Mon Rubber Factory to produce bicycle tires for export to Hungary and Eastern Europe.

Year 1986

The lion symbol was officially adopted as the company’s logo.

Year 1988

Reorganized into Southern Rubber Industry Union of Enterprises.

Year 1989

The CASUMINA brand was officially registered, featuring the lion logo and red “Casumina” lettering within a yellow circle.

Year 1990

Rubber Research Center was established; export turnover exceeded 2 million transferable rubles per year.

Year 1991

Started motorcycle tire production and built a nationwide distribution network.

Year 1993

Officially renamed to Southern Rubber Industry Company.

Year 1995

Adopted CASUMINA as the official international trading name, replacing RUBCHIMEX.

Year 1996

Became Vietnam’s No.1 motorcycle tire manufacturer with the slogan: “Your Trusted Companion on Every Road.”

Year 1997

Established Yokohama Vietnam Joint Venture with partners Yokohama and Mitsubishi (Japan) to produce automobile and motorcycle tires.

Year 1999

Invested in a modern truck tire manufacturing plant. Achieved ISO 9002:1994 certification.

Year 2000

Motorcycle tires met Japanese standards JIS K6366 / JIS K6367. 2001 Achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification.

Year 2001
Year 2002

Automobile tires met Japanese standard JIS K4230.

Year 2003

Produced the first heavy truck tires, marking rapid growth in both production capacity and market demand.

Year 2004

Completed National Project KC06 DA01, successfully producing Vietnam’s first steel radial tire, awarded the VIFOTEC Innovation Prize.

Year 2005

Revenue exceeded VND 1,000 billion; ranked 59/70 global tire manufacturers.

Year 2006

Officially operated as a joint stock company with initial charter capital of VND 90 billion, later increased to VND 120 billion.

Year 2007

Ranked 59/75 among the world’s leading tire manufacturers. Charter capital increased to VND 150 billion.

Year 2008

Charter capital increased to VND 200 billion.

Year 2009

Listed 25 million shares on Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (Ticker: CSM).

Year 2010

Charter capital increased to VND 425 billion; revenue and profit recorded strong growth.

Year 2011

Celebrated 35th anniversary and received the Third-Class Independence Medal awarded by the State.

Year 2012

Began construction of all-steel radial tire plant in Tan Uyen, Binh Duong with capacity of 1 million tires/year.

Year 2013

Partnered with Camso, a global leader in industrial tires.

Year 2014

Inaugurated Casumina Radial Plant with capacity of 1 million tires/year.

Year 2015

Became Vietnam’s leading tubeless motorcycle tire manufacturer. Revenue reached VND 3,600 billion; profit VND 370 billion. Maintained Top 5 revenue ranking within the Vietnam National Chemical Group (2014–2015). Charter capital exceeded VND 740 billion.

Year 2016

Celebrated 40th anniversary with major milestones:

Revenue: VND 3,800 billion

Profit: VND 380 billion

Implemented TPM system

Exported 500,000 steel radial tires to North America

Year 2017

Revenue: VND 3,517 billion; Profit: VND 55 billion (impacted by rising input costs).

Year 2018

Maintained “Vietnam National Brand” status; Revenue reached VND 3,891 billion.

Year 2019

Revenue: VND 4,387 billion; Profit: VND 52.4 billion.

Year 2020

Expanded to 5 factories; Charter capital increased to VND 1,036 billion. Revenue exceeded VND 4,822 billion (+10% YoY). Export value reached nearly VND 1,940 billion (+12%). Production capacity:

PCR: 1.2 million tires/year

TBR: 350,000 tires/year Received “Ho Chi Minh City Golden Brand” Award.

Year 2021

Launched PCR tire line under the ADVENZA brand with strong domestic success

Year 2022

Successfully overcame COVID-19 challenges and recovered operations. Revenue: VND 5,032 billion; Profit: VND 101.3 billion.

Year 2023

Ranked 61/75 global tire manufacturers. Maintained Top 5 revenue position within Vietnam National Chemical Group.

Year 2024

Supplied nearly 24.5 million products to domestic and export markets. Exported to over 30 countries and territories. Revenue: VND 5,093 billion; Profit: VND 89.1 billion. Maintained “Vietnam High Quality Goods” title for 24 consecutive years.

Year 2025

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khoat appointed as CEO. Key highlights:

Revenue: VND 4,546 billion

Export: VND 2,052 billion

Domestic: VND 2,436 billion

Average salary: over VND 15.7 million/month (+26%)

Profit: VND 104 billion (110% of plan) Despite market fluctuations, CASUMINA successfully resumed exports to the U.S. and expanded production capacity, adding 600,000 tires annually for the U.S. market. Achieved “Outstanding Digital Transformation Enterprise” award.

Year 2026

Celebrating 50th Anniversary (1976–2026). CASUMINA sets ambitious targets:

Industrial production value: VND 4,963 billion

Revenue: VND 5,091 billion

Average salary: over VND 15.7 million/month

Profit: VND 120 billion
